Summer and early autumn are the times when seasonal vegetables and fruits appear on the market, but they often spoil quickly. Freezing is an ideal option if you want to preserve their freshness for winter and reduce the amount of waste.
1. Start with choosing fresh vegetables and fruits. Select only quality products that are free of damage or defects.
2. Prepare the products for freezing. Wash them, dry them, and cut them into slices or cubes.
3. Arrange the products on a flat tray or sheet so that they do not stick together during freezing.
4. Place the trays or sheets with the products in the freezer. Make sure they do not touch each other.
5. Once the products are frozen, transfer them into freezer bags or containers for freezing. Seal them tightly to prevent air from entering.
6. Label the bags or containers with the freezing date and the name of the product. This will help you quickly find the needed product in the freezer.
Freezing vegetables and fruits preserves their beneficial properties and vitamins, so they will be a wonderful addition to your winter ration. Start freezing products today to reduce waste and preserve the beneficial properties of fresh products for winter.
