Store, cover, and extend food freshness with beeswax wraps
Beeswax wraps basics
Beeswax wraps are reusable food wraps designed to help keep food fresh for as long as possible without harming the environment or human health.
Materials
100% cotton, beeswax, pine resin, jojoba oil.
How to use
Place food on the beeswax wrap and gently press the edges around it to shape the wrap. You can also cover a bowl or container by pressing the wrap around the rim. The warmth of your hands activates the wax, making the wrap pliable and easy to shape. Please note that the wrap does not stick to food or dishes; only the edges of the wrap adhere to each other.
Care instructions
Before first use and after each use, wash the beeswax wrap by hand under cold water (up to 40°C), just like a plate. If needed, use dish soap — we recommend choosing eco-friendly options that are safe for people, the environment, and gentle on the wax coating. To dry, place the wrap on a dish rack or pat it dry with a kitchen towel. Do not dry on radiators or in direct sunlight.
Product lifespan
When used 3–4 times per week, a single wrap can last from 7 months up to 1 year or longer. One of our customers shared a record of 1.5 years of continuous use on Instagram. That wrap came from our very first batch. Since then, we have significantly improved quality by switching to a denser fabric base and using fully machine-controlled waxing. We are looking forward to your record :)
Disposal
The wrap is made entirely from biodegradable components and can be composted once it reaches the end of its life. Before composting, we recommend reusing worn-out wraps in alternative ways: (1) cut them into strips and use them to tie flower bouquets, support garden plants, or secure young trees; (2) twist the strips into cords and use them as natural fire starters.
How to use beeswax wraps?
Before first use, gently crumple the wrap in your hands to activate its stickiness. This helps the wrap easily take any shape.
-
step 1
Place the food on the wrap, fold the edges around it, and secure.
-
step 2
Cover a bowl or container and press the edges of the wrap. Hold your hands at the folds to fix the shape.

How long do beeswax wraps last?
Depending on how often they are used, beeswax wraps can last from 9 to 12 months or longer with proper care. Signs that a wrap has reached the end of its lifespan include loss of stickiness and thinning of the wax layer.
If the only issue is reduced stickiness, you can try restoring the wrap:
Place the wrap between two sheets of parchment paper and gently iron it. Let it cool and dry completely. This helps renew the wax coating on the fabric and restores flexibility. You can watch a video tutorial here.
Disposal
Beeswax wraps are compostable and fully biodegradable. Once they reach the end of their life, place them in a compost bin or bury them in soil. Do not dispose of them with general household waste.
You can also reuse worn-out wraps in alternative ways:
Cut them into strips and use them to tie flower bouquets, support garden plants, or secure young trees. Twist the strips into cords and use them as natural fire starters for barbecues or fireplaces.
